This was a slightly tied together group of stories all intersecting with the war and its aftermath between the Manderian Halden and the Federation Coalition. As in any war, there are atrocities on both sides. The stories drop you into their web and pull you in. Damaer’s characters move and act on emotions and impulses we all can relate to. The stories were well written and concise and evoked emotion in me as well as the characters on the page. Definitely an interesting read.
